Students, you rock! What a great job. I am sorry I could not be there but from what I heard, you had superb performance. Thank you! :):):)
All of the hard work of this week, bring it with you! Next week we are going to get started right away. Hit the ground running. We don't have much time till the first football game (check the calendar). I need to have everyone committed and ready for the work ahead. I know you can do it!
Below are video highlights. Watch and learn from our movements! Thanks again, everyone, for your hard work!
I am so impressed at the hard work and progress that you all are showing. We need to carry that spirit into next week. In these short three days you have made great strides in formation and uniformity. i will be post videos throughout the week so keep checking the Cougar Call for videos to watch and learn from. We have about 1 month until our first game and I want to look good out on the field. Keep up the great work tomorrow.
Tomorrow, I will not be there until the second half. You are going to sound amazing and show those freshman that Band is the place to be! Go Cougars!
Below is a video of the Ohio State Marching Band. Again, something to shoot for.
Here are some video highlights from one session. The video is edited for time. Watch and ask yourself what YOU could do to improve. We will be working this set tomorrow as well. Great Job, Cougars!
Here is a little taste of what could be...one day! ;p
Again, I must say how impressed I am at the hard work shown by everyone. We had Alumni and new students working hard to improve. Thanks for the dedication, everyone. We had some rocky moments but as a whole, you all showed improvement. We will be filming the practices and then spending time having constructive dialogue. This is the way we will win superiors and take home top prizes. Self-refection for improvement.
Again, great job everyone!
Wow! What a wonderful 1st day. I was so excited to get to know all of you and share in your passion and dedication to music. You all inspire me to do more! I love how high everyone sprite is, keep it up!
We talked about a lot of ways to improve the band. I am listening and I spoke about what i will do to meet those needs. I also love how freely people were sharing ideas. You know better than any one what we need to do to get better. Please, continue to share those reflections with me so that i can help the band and be more effective. You are my eyes and ears, tell me what is up! LOL! ;p
It was great getting to know everyone and please use this blog to keep us motivated and marching forward...onto VICTORY!
I want to thank you for visiting my site! In the coming days you will find information and videos added that will enhance your musical experience. This is new territory and much fine tuning will be required. I ask that you be patient and if you see something amiss, please, bring it to my attention.
As such, Band Camp will be next week (7/27-31), Monday-Friday, from 8am-12pm. We will be working on rudiments in marching and performance. I want to get a sense of how best I can serve you. Again, please be patient as I learn about all of you and, likewise, you pick up on my eccentricities! ;) I hope to have a fantastic year and look forward to meeting you all and helping you on your musical journey.
